Union Lutheran Church Welcomes Pastor Tom Corbell

Union Lutheran Church is excited to have Rev. Tom Corbell as our 250th Anniversary Guest Pastor this Sunday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

Invite family, friends and former members now to be with us for this special occasion. This is a wonderful time to renew old relationships, update what is going on in the lives of others that have been special to us, and to form new relationships. Plan now to be a part of our 250th Anniversary Celebration!

Meet & Greet will be held in the small fellowship hall (Old Pine Center) with refreshments provided following worship. 

Pastor Tom Corbell has served in ministry for fifty years. In Statesville he was the pastor of St. John’s Lutheran for seventeen years, a chaplain for Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County for six years and served as the pastor of Mt. Hermon Lutheran church in Statesville for seven years. He also served as President of Lay Pastors Ministry Inc. for over ten years, he serves on the board of Iredell Adult Day Services/ElderCenter,and has been instrumental in writing part of 365 devotions for CancerCompanions. He is presently doing his last Intentional Interim ministry at Holy Trinity Lutheran in Gastonia, NC.

He is married to Anne Tysinger Corbell. They have two grown daughters; Dr. Kristen Corbell and Dr. Jennifer C. Hough and two wonderful grandsons! Anne and Tom live in Charlotte, NC about fifteen minutes from their grandsons!
